LISTEN, LEARN AND BE ENCOURAGED!
The Words of
Christmas
- Part II
“Congratulations! It’s a… GOD!” That’s the astonishing announcement behind the Christmas story. What looked like an ordinary birth in a humble corner of the world was, in fact, the arrival of God in the flesh—the beginning of a new era in world history.
In Luke 2 we meet Simeon, an old man whose hope had been stretched thin by the years, but not extinguished. He waited and prayed for the Messiah, clinging to the promise that he would see the Redeemer with his own eyes. And then, on an ordinary day in the Temple, an eight‑day‑old infant was placed in his arms. At that moment, Simeon declared that this child would be a light for the Gentiles and the glory of Israel. Those words still echo across the centuries, carrying the very heartbeat of Christmas right along with them.
