Easter isn’t Taps, It’s Reveille!

This week at Lakeview, Pastor Randy boldly reframes the meaning of Easter: it’s not Taps - It’s Reveille! In other words, the Resurrection is God’s way of sounding the alarm, rousing His people to stand up, shake off complacency, and live with purpose.

Too many of us drift through our days as though the slow march toward the grave were inevitable, while the soundtrack of “Taps” plays faintly in the background. But the empty tomb silences that melody forever, because in Christ we have no reason to fear death. And if death has lost its sting, then we are free to live boldly, joyfully, and fully awake. Easter is God’s reveille — and it’s time to rise!
